Hi, I’m Bilal Kassem, the Co-Founder and Managing Attorney at Pacific Workers, The Lawyers’ for Injured Workers.

> Let me tell you a quick story.
It is the story of a landscaper who was shot by a co-worker at the large facility one morning. He was shot twice by his co-worker. He ended up in a coma and even missed the birth of his child. He has had almost 50 surgeries.
Originally, he hired a lawyer out of Southern California. The lawyer, who we won’t name, holds themselves out as the Best Workers’ Compensation Lawyer in California – claiming themselves as ‘fighters’ with the largest settlements and the best results.
Well at first the landscaper hired her. Sure, why not, the website looked good – lots of BIG claims on there. Well, after a year, he and his wife got a call that the case was just too difficult for her –they didn’t think they could win the case and they would no longer represent him. They fired him because they thought the case was unwinnable!
Distraught that he would never hold them accountable for what happened. He called us and asked us if we would handle the case for him. Remember, the “best” workers’ compensation lawyer said they couldn’t win the case!
We said we would take the case on! I spent hours and hours figuring it out, researching, taking depositions, spent my nights and weekends figuring out all the angles.
I did the job that a fighter needs to do. And what happened?
Well, we won the case! The other side appealed, and the court agreed with us again! Our client was entitled to workers’ comp benefits! We are still working the case to finalize the settlement.
